  • New girl in class

    Hi,
My name is Adele and I joined this morning! Really I am having a wander around the internet trying to avoid working on my website. Its soooooooo hard. I am suppose to be a creative person but faced with all this blank space and lots of scary looking buttons I crumbled! I thought looking at other craft sites might inspire me. I was looking at them when I wandered in here and started "chatting" I am telling myself it is research but..........................
I have been been a crafter since 1996 when I started work in a craft shop. I learnt a few crafts so I would know a little about the stock. When my boss cottoned onto my "talents" I started to demonstrate the different crafts. It was mutually beneficial as people bought more and I got to take home lots of stuff to make samples with! Then I became obsessed and wanted to know everything about everything! When I calmed down I settled on papercrafting mostly. I was also sent on a painting course which I loved.
When I left Hobbicraft in 2004 to have a baby I used my painting skills to decorate our new home. And my teaching, crafting skills to bring in a little cash. Now my son has started school I have decided to up this to making lots of money to feed us and pay the bills!
I have done lots of craft fairs, fayres, fetes, shows, markets and parties. I am slowly learning what goes where and which way up I am! I have also added some new strings to my bow and learnt a few more crafts. I don't think I will ever be rich but I am incredibly happy and thats good enough for me!
