I'm new. I probably wont be much use to others to start with but I'll try to be helpful where I can . Just be gentle with me when I ask silly questions about art and craft fairs that you've probably all been asked a million times before.
A bit about me.
Married with two children. My husband and I ran a busy computer game store for twelve years and after being unable to spend much quality time as a family we've decided to say goodbye to a very fast moving business and both slow down a bit.
A risk I know - My husband has convinced me that I'm a talented artist so I'm slowly getting to grips with creating a healthy amount of work to show.
Our immediate thoughts are placing my work in existing galleries and curio shops with a no sale/ profit sharing plan - you may have some comments to add to that. We haven't tried yet.
Our secondary line of approach will be very much down the hire a hall/starving artist sale and craft/art fairs - I'll definitely be grateful for any advice there and will no doubt be asking for plenty.
Oh dear, I seem to have rambled on a bit so I'll just quickly sign off by saying that I work in mixed media, architectural prints, ink and watercolour, aluminium on card and glass.
