Hello ...

... from a cold Edinburgh. Am new to the forum but have been having a look at some of the info before registering. Looks a great place for advice, looking forward to taking part.

Like many others, I have a proper job but am wanting to look at ways to expand the creative side and reduce 'proper job' hours. I do a variety of crafts, started with card making and from there developed into picture framing and now onto jewellery. Have been making jewellery for a little under 2 years and do the occasional party. Have tried craft fairs with the cards, but not very successful.

I got into chain maille at the latter end of last year. Attended some fantastic worshops and am now adicted to the little silver rings. Am in the process of arranging for a hallmark to be set up - which I'm quite excited about!!

Hello Bev and to the forum. I don't have a 'proper job' since last Feb, just thought almost a year, time has flown and I am having fun. Would not work for anyone else again, times can be hard but you are in control not someone sitting on a stall telling you what to do. You have to be disciplined, hence why I am on this forum,lol , when I should be working. A few of us have this problem, very friendly here but keeps calling me back to the screen, so also addictive.

I agree with Caroline - this forum is definitely addictive.

I too, gave up my well paid office job, as I had my daughter and I decided to carry on with my glass work and work around looking after my daughter full time. I absolutely love working from home and do not miss the 'office job'.
