  • Hello From W-S-M & Knitting Club Question

    Hi everyone,

I just joined the forum and thought I'd post and say hi. I have been scrapbooking for 4+ years but am looking for a new craft hobby to get into.

I used to do a bit of knitting years ago and would love to learn again (and make new friends in the process). I've been looking for clubs in W-S-M but without success so far. Does anyone know of any clubs there or in Clevedon please?

Looking forward to getting to know some of you on here

    TIA

    Crafty

Nice to see you. Knitting suddenly seems to be popular again I wonder why. One or two forum members are learning the craft at the moment.

Try searching for Stitch n Bitch knitting clubs - I know that there is one near to me and they are set up all over the country. The website is here http://www.stitchnbitch.co.uk/ If there isn't one near you then you can set up your own.

Hello and welcome to the forum, knitting and crochet seem to be making a comeback (HOORAY!!!).

Sorry I cant help with a knitting club but there are lots of us forum members who can knit or who are learning that will be able to help with any questions.

Hi and thanks for the warm welcome

I made a start today - during my lunchbreak I went to a charity shop and found some needles and wool to practise with ....

One day I'd love to knit a jacket/cardigan

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I was in W-S-M a week ago picking up some new wheels for my son's car which gave me an excuse to have a wander round the shops. It used to be really naf but it has quite a good range of shops now.
I used to do a bit of knitting and crochet ( which I prefer) but that went so out of fashion that I hadn't made anything for years. Once the scarves made from eyelash wool became popular I got my needles out and have made quite a few.
I haven't heard of any craft/knitting club near you. Maybe you could ask at a craft shop.

                    Melanie
