  • Hello

    Hi Everyone
I just wanted to introduce myself and to say hello to bead crafters.

I am new to this craft/hobby. I was introduced to it just recently when I visited my new and local bead shop in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

The owners were very helpful and introduced me to their work shop where I have already made necklace and earrings to match and now the new year is here I am going again to start learning all the bead stitches and learn about making seed bead jewellery.

Has anyone any tips on what I should try first?

The shop has all sizes in seed beads and lots of glass beads its like a child going into a sweetie shop.

I am in my 50's but can thread a needle fine, one of my other interests is cross stitch but I felt I need something new for 2009 and as this shop is on my doorstep I thought I would give it a go.

    Hi
I am new to beading myself so if you learn anything useful, do share!
I am more of a cardmaker, scrapbooker and like to make things I see in tutorials, like little boxes, decs and favours.
Great to meet you! Good luck on your learning journey!
    Sally
