    Hi,
My name is Gaby and I've joined the forum because I haven't done any machine sewing since I was a teenager, making my own dresses.
I'm now hurtling towards my fifties and have become involved in a greyhound and lurcher rescue.
I want to be able to make fleecy coats and fabric house collars to raise money for the rescue.
Oh boy am I going to need advice; right from which machine to buy to where to find fabrics, metal rings and sliders.
I will post in a more appropriate thread when I know exactly what to ask.
In the mean time I shall lurk and join in where I can.
    See ya

Hi Gaby, welcome to the forum! I too am involved in a rescue (EBT's) and trying to think up things to sell for fundraising. Maybe we can help each other? I did see a pattern for some lovely fleecy coats, so I'll find it and pass the link on to you if you like? BTW, I love Lurchers too - such gentle creatures!

Hito the forum. Its great that you want to fundraise for greyhounds and lurchers. I make jewellery but took up my knitting needles again last year as well.

                Hi Gaby,
Pleased to find another dog lover.
I make dog coats and sell them through my website (and also donate coats to rescue centres). When I started this project, I bought loads of items that I've never used (e.g. metal D rings) so if you're interested, please PM me.
