  • Hellow from Glasgow , Scotland

    Hi there everyone

I would like to introduce myself , my name is craig ( Glow Worm ) and i live in Glasgow up here in bonnie Scotland

I have been crafting for a few years now mainly cards but about 6 months ago I gave it up . I am now back crafting but this time I am making my own candles ( well attempting too as I have only just started ) I found that when making cards I was not getting much enjoyment from it as I was doing them for various craft fairs with a varying degree of success so I got a bit scunnered making them . Now that I have moved onto candles i get a lot more enjoyment as I am making them for myself and friends

I first started Crafting when i was in hospital recovering from my stroke , it was a way of getting my side to work and it did wonders for me and i have been crafting ever since

I look forward to getting to know you and learning from all of you as well , i am sure i will have a question or two oh and lease forgive my bad spelling its one of my bad points lol

    Hi ya Craig

I've only been here a few days myself! But everybody has been really friendly and helpful. I also started off making cards and got a bit fed up of it. I still do them occassionally but mostly because I need one myself LOL.

I mostly craft from recycled materials now.

My daughter has had 3 strokes so although I can't speak from personal experience I do know some of the frustrations of recovery. So good for you for your courage and perseverance!

    Have fun.

Hello and . Good for you to be so positive. I worked with people who had strokes so I know how frustrating it can be to try and get your side working again, but it can be done and crafting is excellent therapy for anything

Hello Craig and welcome. I'm a newbie too and have also found that doing craft work for enjoyment, rather than to try and make money out of it is much more enjoyable. Well done on your positivity with recovering from your stroke!
