  • I joined today!

Hi Im Vicky, I make handmade cards and I joined your forum today after having it recommended by a lovely lady called Sara at a Christmas Fair today. The fair did not go too well and we won't all be retiring from the profits but hey, craft is a matter of taste. I think some people just haven't got the imagination to buy our wares, it's just easier to go to a shop and buy what everyone else buys.

    Where are peoples individuality?

Anyway any posts would be lovely to receive and Im sure Ill get to know some of you soon.

Hi and welcome Vicky. I'm Nicki and I make country style things for the home.

I am sorry your fair didn't go too well, they all seem to be a bit like that this year which is a shame. Like Katianne I sell most of my stuff online too.

Hope your next fair is better.

                        from me too.

I do jewellery and gave up on craft fairs a while ago. Now we have a regular market stall and we love it. Sorry that your fair wasn't too good. As for people's individuality . . . you have to be "in their face" for a long time before they notice you and what you do and - more importantly - take you seriously. Just don't give up - if we all stick at it one day we will educate the sheep.

yes i agree with you craft is a matter of taste. everyone has a taste of jewelry and everything. but most of the people let others determine their tastes and forget or omit the voice from their inner heart. that's a sad fact.
