Hi, as the title says, this is my first ever post! I thought I would just bite the bullet and dive straight in! So glad I found this forum, I hope that in time I will be able to give and receive lots of advice. I live in Southport and love sewing on my trusty (very old!) singer machine. I hand cover mannequins (dress forms) in lovely fabrics, so I am always on the lookout for different kinds of fabrics to use. Julie.

Thankyou!
Thankyou for the messages of welcome! Julia, if you want to see some pics, then click on the link at the bottom. The website is about 2 months old now - and boy, was THAT a steep learning curve to set it up. But it's done now (mostly!)- I just need to keep making the mannequins now. Love your site! The mannequins are works of art themselves. Oh, to have a waist like that.
There's a good online fabric shop I often use for cottons & I notice they have linens too...in the states unfortunately. Denverfabrics.com. Postage might be prohibitive with linen though..
good luck,

Hi, thanks for the feedback on the site! It's good to know that it is easy to navigate - I've learned so much in setting it up. Thanks for the link to the fabric site - I'll have a look at that. I'm actually looking for good quality animal print fabric at the moment - medium weight cotton or linen, but I'm finding it very difficult to source. I've put a thread on another part of the forum, but not many replies yet, so I guess it's quite difficult to come across.
I love looking at all your sites too!
