  • Hi!

    Hi Everyone

Stumbled across this site whilst looking for Public Liability Insurance for a Craft Fair. A big thank you to everyone who has posted information, I am not sure whether I am encouraged or put off!! I make beaded jewellery and want to take it to the next step and start selling to a wider audience. I want to try a Christmas late night shopping event and was looking for insurance for the evening only. It looks as thought the policies available are annual and I am not sure I will recover my costs, especially reading the comments about recent Craft Fairs. It has certainly given me plenty to think on!

    Thanks again,
    Fairly Girly

            Hi and welcome.
I experienced craft fairs this year, for the first time. Very mixed views, but mostly covered costs. I felt that the weather was the main downer - better luck next year.
            Good luck.
            Best wishes

to the Forum, you'll find a wealth of information here.

For all the hard times and effects caused by the credit crunch on crafters, you'll still find a fair few of us who can't give up doing fairs and similar events. You do get a crafting buzz from people appreciating your work.

I'm about to renew my policy and will be using G W Imber. Check their site out for the Crafter policy.

Thanks for all the welcomes......I didn't realise doing this as a hobby would involve so much paperwork. Trying to work out the Inland Revenue requirements as well now. They don't make it easy do they!!
