Welcome to the forum. I'm in Northants too, between Daventry and Northampton.

I believe there is quite an active craft group in Wellingborough, I'm not sure if the do specific crafts or a bit of everything, I'm sure I've seen something on here about them so if you have a search you minght find more info.

Or for pottery, is it worth seeing if a local college have evening classes or a short course?

I'm not a potter or basket maker myself - but I do live in Northampton and have a couple of ideas for you - Magnolia studios and Potz at Billing Garden Centre - both in Northampton itself. Hope this helps...
