  • Hello there

    Hello,

I am Tamsin and I live in Oxfordshire. I have been beading and making jewellery for almost a year now. I am also interested in having a go at woodturning and am soon to go on a course with my husband.

What a fabulous site. I just stumbled across it last week and have enjoyed reading all the advice and comments, so decided to join up.

I look forward to learning loads more about crafting.

    Best wishes

    Tamsin

Hello Tamsin and to the forum.
I am so jealous, I love woodturning - I went on a woodwork course at the local college a couple of years ago and loved it, I made a storage chest and a wine table with a turned stem. I was totally hooked, my hubby bought me a lathe but there are no woodturning classes locally, the only woodwork courses I can find are for joinery (making roofs and frames etc) so I'm trying to teach myself, but its not easy. I really hope you and your husband have a great time with your woodturning class, please show us some pics when you have made something.

to the Forum. I've done woodturning before and love it... unfortunately I don't have room for a lathe or workshop, otherwise I'd still be doing it now! Hope you enjoy your time here.
