Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome.

I am really Interested In natural crafts like flowers, leaves etc.

My first craft mission Is to make a nice border for a photo I want to frame.I want to use leaves for the border but not sure how to go about It.

How long do I press them for and what method should I use? What glue do I use to stick them to the cardboard border?Should I spray them with some sort of lacquer to preserve them?haha,I have tons of things I'm not sure about, but I'm sure It will be fun.

If 'twas me, I'd lay them out between two sheets of white paper, put them between the leaves if a BIG book, lay the book down and put something heavy on top, then ignore it for a week.

You could use spray-glue on the back of the leaves, and stick 'em down that way. Or probably UHU would work, put on thin. Dry some extras, see what works with some scrap!

Spray-lacquer should keep them shiny, I'd have thought. (It was on special in QD the other day) Or so would a thin coat of varnish brushed on, likely. Again, have a go on some scraps!

Just get more materials than you need, do some tests and have a go - what's the worst that can happen?
                      Cheers,
