  • Hello from Miaou

Hi there, just joined so am saying hello

I do all sorts of crafty stuff, mostly textile based. In fact it's probably easier to say what I don't do, which is jewellery and cards!

I love knitting and crochet, and in the past have designed cross stitch kits. My husband recently bought me a new sewing machine so I am now turning my hand to dressmaking, bags, applique and the like. I also enjoy felting, painting, glass painting, tapestry - er, I've tried most things I think!

I know a few people on this forum but am looking forward to meeting more. I'm also on ******8 under the same name, so hello to anyone who recognises me from there.

I've got a blog and I'm having a website made at the moment, and hope to have an etsy shop eventually but I'm very slow at these things!

I am reasonably new to bag-making Tigerlily, but loving it I must say.

                Welcome Miaou

Hello Miaou. I joined yesterday and it seems our interests are similar. I am a quilter incorporating aplique (not sure of spelling) knit, crochet, and anything else to do with fabrics. Got my own little workshop up garden and love it. In fact, I begrudge time spent elsewhere. But - needs must and the old man has to be fed from time to time. ah well!!!

ooooh .... a workshop in the garden ... ooo I'm not jealous, oooh no

I often dream about having my own workspace! I have a couple of shelves in a cupboard and have taken over the top of one of my sons' wardrobes for my stash; other than that I have to do my stuff in the living room or the kitchen. And since I have two under three that means no iron or sewing machine out during the day! I have been making a ballgown over the last couple of weeks and I tell you, it is no fun starting work at 7.45pm
