  • Please help!

    Hi All,

I am new to this forum, I have just found it after a search. I really do hope that someone here will be able to help me, I am going crazy.

I do a lot of craft things with my children & both really enjoy doing all the different things. We do lots of kinds of crafts & get most of our supplies from Baker Ross & from time to time hobby craft. The problem I have is this. The main thing they love doing is the plaster craft moulds, we have the letters & we have insects butterflies & fish.

The thing is I have been trying for a long time now to get numbers & teddy bears as well. I can not find them any where, I have done lots & lots of searches on the web using lots of different word combinations but all has been to no avail.

The silly thing of this is, if you look at the Baker Ross Catalogue you will see that in the pictures that show the plaster moulds, it shows the numbers & it shows the teddy bears but when you ask them they say that they no longer do them & when you ask where can I get them from, they just say they have no idea. They have had these pictures in the last 3 catalogues that I can remember.

So I am sure that you can understand my madness. I am close to pulling the heads of all the peg dolls. Can anyone on this forum please point me in the right direction, so I can get these moulds. My children keep asking to be able to make name & age wall mounts for there friends also the teddy bears will go on the mounts. Please please please I really hope that someone on this forum will be able to help me before I am committed to the nearest asylum.

    Yours in hope

        Hi All.

Thank you seahorse. I will check out all three sites. You never know you could just well have saved the life of some peg dolls. They are very close to decapitation.

I just do not understand why something like this is so hard to find. I would have thought that as crafts was as popular as they are in this country, I would have thought that the moulds for casting would be ten a penny & that they would have hundreds of kinds, but no that's not the case or it don't seem to be.

        Thank again for your help

          Hi

          Welcome to the forum!

Hope you find something thanks to seahorse's suggestions.

I think you can buy a craft catalogue called Pandora (not sure if that's the right name).

A lot of suppliers advertise in Crafts Beautiful so might be worth checking the adverts in there?

              http://www.jammyjoes.com/toys/Mould%...20Teddy%20Bear

This link is to lots of kits of bear molds. They are disiened to make up into badges and fridge magnets, which means that they are flat backed!!

No luck with the nubers though. Have you thought about using wooden cut outs? They could still be painted and stuck on to backing etc. There are quite a few places selling blanks.

                Thank you, Thank you.

                Hi All.

You have all been very kind & helpful & may I also say that you have save more than one peg dolly from a fate worse than!. For this again I thank you from the dollies.

Beadsbydesign thank you for your link, it was just what I have been looking for. I have put in the search engine on the comp about fridge magnet moulds as well as plaster casting moulds & I could not find any of what I was looking for, I did get lots of fruit & veg but no teddies came up on any search I did. So again I thank you they are what I was looking for.

As for the numbers I did find on a American site numbers 0 to 9 on a small set of moulds that had the letters on it as well, so I might get that. Even though we do have the letters, they are small ones on this set so they would or could still be used.

So again I would like to thank you all for your kind help.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

                Yours very happily

                    Hi All.

Hi beadsbydesign, thanks for telling me how you worded your search. That's the thing about searches though, its all about what wording you use. You have to think of all different way of how something may be worded. So thanks again for all your help.
