  • Can I use PDF doc's?

Hi there - Can someone please tell me if it is permitted or even possible to upload PDF documents into posts?

I have some information that I would like to put into training threads and the information has been created in Adobe InDesign and the data converted into PDF doc's.

If it is possible then please can someone explain how to do this?

    Many thanks..............Clive

    Hi Clive

If you go into advanced mode and look around half way across the top row of icons you'll see the one like a bit of paper with a paper clip on. This will allow you to upload and attach any file. I've just tested it on this post and you can upload .pdfs but it seems they're limited to a file size of 19.5 kb which isn't huge. Sample (non-crafts related) attached.

That is excellent advice and thank you. The PDFs I have are around 250kb as they contain a lot of graphics so I will need to see if I can break them down somewhat.

I wonder if there might be another method? If I could find a hosting site like photobucket or one of the others like it where I can upload them, maybe I could produce a link to them as I do with the photo's in my posts. If anyone knows a site which hosts/stores PDFs then please let me know.

Better get working on them, Many thanks.......................Clive

          You guys are great..

Yep you can upload pdfs but only small ones...

If you have a google account you have use docs.google.com and make the document public..

The problem with pdf's are the size and I'm trying not to fill the Database up..

Of course you can host them on your own site and link etc..

Pete - Your amazing, I spent an hour setting up an account with "keep and share" and finding out how to work with the site and another hour learning how to embed urls into pictures.

The result is here, Sorry not to have embedded this link but I was so exited to have achieved this.
