  • Knitting Help Needed!

    Hi everyone,
I’m new here...ive recently taken up knitting during lockdown to pass the time. Taken on a challenge of knitting a baby cardigan haha!

Well long story short I’ve nearly finished however I’m on the last ‘right front’ piece. It’s starts with cast on 27 stitches and then 4 knit stitches followed 1x1 rib stitch for 7 rows. (You can see the effect I’m trying to describe in my “good piece” photo)

Somehow I can’t seem to get this piece to look the neat or the same as the other and it’s sooooo irritating. Can anyone help by looking at what I’m doing wrong please? I’ll upload photos of my correct piece followed by my Urgh..mess 😂

    Thanks!

It looks fine to me - I would suggest you keep going until you have finished the rib and done a good few rows of the stocking stitch then look at it again. Quite often things don't look right when the foundation isn't fully established, but as things progress you find out that everything is fine. Good luck.
