If not a poem, you could say

"Here is six pennyworth of happiness,
invest it wisely and it will last a lifetime."
          Carol
God helps them that help themselves.

              The traditional message is

              Something old
              Something new
              Something borrowed
              Something blue
And a silver sixpence inside her shoe.

Thats what mine said. I actually sellotaped mine to the inside of my shoe but made sure it was underneath the "arch" of my foot so that it didn't bother me.

Snap I did that too! Didn't help the marriage though!

Well done Aunty. You looked a well suited couple when I saw you on Watchdog.

I knew I was making a mistake when I married but still went ahead!!! Still I got two gorgeous, wonderful children from it (all my own work!! lol) so not all bad. He is now well and truly out of the picture, but I still get on with all his family and stay with them every year!
