    I've just check the tutorial and they are done the same way I do my patchwork ones yay

    I did notice a big sewing no no in one of the photo's, The ric rac around the top is pinned the wrong way if you are going to sew over the pin with a sewing machine. When sewing over pins with a sewing machine the pins have to be pinned the other way otherwise you'll brake the sewing machine needle.

    Ie in the photo the pin is pinned longways along the top of the ric rac it should be across the ric rac. Hope you don't mind me saying.

      Ah... the pin issue. Classically you are taught to have the point of the pin facing the needle on a straight seam. However if you are inserting a sleeve, sewing a piece of work in the round (like around the top of a stocking, you can work with pins in the horizontal.... this would also be the case if you were working with gathers.
