Ive seen Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Starlight Express, Les Miserables.

I totally recomend Phantom, but not sure if any of the above are still on.

Out of the current array, how about Wicked or Lord of the Rings?
The lady that was in Mary Poppins is now at the Old Vic with Jeff(the fly)Goldblum and Kevin(Kaiser Soze) Spacey at the mo, but its not a musical.

I saw the Phantom of the Opera with Sarah Brightmand and Michael Crawford and I have to admit I love it - but everybody knows the story of it.

Blood Brothers is fantastic I can vouch for that one - really powerful. My in laws had been talking about it for years and I went to see it last year and have to admit it was fantastic - not at all like the phantom though this is based on reality.

      Cheers.

Blood Brothers is fantastic but you will cry (or GF will anyway). I would heartily recommend Avenue Q - if you don't mind mention of porn and puppets having sex! It is very very good and I would go and see it again and again - you will be laughing so much!
Caberet is very good too but I didn't enjoy Chicago as I was too drunk. A certain gentleman who started this topic topped my glass up too much with wine! And having to run to the theatre didn't help much either

Went to see "We will Rock You " when we went London and it was Fab
Seen Buddy, Phantom ,Stomp & Chigago here and they were great . I suppose it depends on what kind of music you like.

Would love to go and see "Wicked"

It's got to be Wicked! It's amazing! I've seen most of the musicals but this one tops the lot! It's got something for everyone...can be girly. My sister in law uses it in her lesson plans now....just an excuse to play the songs I recon....Avenue Q is good....any musical that can incorporate Gary Coleman (what'chu talkin' about Willis?!) is legendary.

I went to see The Lion King *yawn*, i wouldn't suggest seeing it!

I saw Phantom too with Michael Crawford, was the most amazing thing, show, musical, i have ever seen. It was just out of this word. The music nearly blew the theater up.

Blood Brothers is supposed to be very good though, and so it Joseph (maybe because it has Lee Mead in it!)

Which are the good seats ?

I hate looking up.. Rather be higher up than closer ...

I've seen Lion king, chicago and Les Mis.

Thought Les Mis was fantastic. I liked the costumes in the lion king - they were pretty fab...

Chicago was really good as well - better than I was expecting. As it was for a friends birthday I couldn't complain about which musical we saw, so we saw something that would have been very low in my list and I enjoyed it.

I havent seen Avenue Q but have seen clips of it on tv and thought it looks hilarious.
Wicked also seems really good, more girlfriendy probably, its the story of how the wicked witch and the good witch became said witches in the wizard of oz isn't it? I' would Love to see that.

I've seen Blood Brothers which was Fab, Buddy also fab but you need to be a fan of the music obviously!
Also seen Chicago, great but i would check whos in it, i saw it with Brooke Shields and she was (surprisingly) good! but i saw it again with someone in it i cant remember and didn't seem so good..
Of course if you want boyfriend points you rreally need to take her to Grease it's the best!!
Havent seen Dirty Dancing but i bet you'd score big points there also..
                          Hv a fab time..

I cant believe no-ones mentioned the two musicals with the biggest hype at the moment! Hairspray, with michael ball in drag, and The Sound of Music with summer of hollyoaks in it! Mary Poppins is amazing and so is blood brothers. Anything by Ander Lloyd Webber is worth a visit as well.
I like to make things - usually a mess!

Do not whatever you do get seats at the very top. I nearly died when we had seats there once, when you stand up it seems like it's just a verticle drop to the bottom, i hated it and it seems soooo far away as well.
I think the best seats are the ones not on the flat bit, but one row up as you can really see everything and it's not too far away..
