  • Bottled water scare

Not sure if there's any truth in this, but just in case there is ..........

    WARN YOUR WIVES/GIRLFRIENDS AND DAUGHTERS
Bottled water in your car.....very dangerous, woman!!!!
This is how Sheryl Crow got breast cancer. She was on the Ellen show and
said this same exact thing. This has been identified as the most common
cause of the high levels in breast cancer, especially in Australia .

A friend whose mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The Doctor
told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.

The doctor said that the heat and the plastic of the bottle have certain
chemicals that can lead to breast cancer. So please be careful and do not
drink bottled water that has been left in a car, and, pass this on to all
the women in your life. This information is the kind we need to know and be
aware and just might save us!!!! The heat causes toxins from the plastic to
leak into the water and they have found these toxins in breast tissue. Use
a stainless steel Canteen or a glass bottle when you can!!!

Let every one that has a wife/girfriend and daughter know please.

I don't know where this has come from JBJB but it's about time someone drew this issue to everyones attention!
Plastic bottles are bad news all round NO WAIT, Plastic in general is bad news all round and if I am ever faced with a choice of anything I always choose the non plastic option.
The other one that worries me is the plastic trays that microwave meals come in and are cooked in in most cases.
We don't often buy these meals but when we do i empty the contents into a pyrex and cook them in the "proper" oven (I don't trust M'waves either but don't get me started on that one!). There are people who eat these meals all the time. That is a worry!

Aside from the health issues, plastic bottles are having a catastrophic effect on the envirioment. Did anyone see the programme on TV the other night about the bottled water fad? Apparently bottled water is no better than tap and is a waste of our money and has a massive carbon f'print due to the amount of energy and fuel used in it's production and transportation.

I'll get off my soapbox now or I'll be here all day!

                lol!

I love bottled water and drink it any day over the rancid metal tasting crap that comes out of my taps! having said this, I wont drink water from a bottle once its been open for longer than a couple of hours, no other reason than i am just fussy!

There was a thing a couple years back about the bottled water being made my coca cola, it got stripped off all the shelves...cant remember why other than it was really bad for you, too much of something in it I think!

Plastic is just bad news! bottled water is unnecessary and there is evidence that plastic containers used in freezers and microwaves do release toxins in the process. Clingfilm is dodgy too when used on certain foods....
Convenience is not all its cracked up to be!
