      If anyone is tempted, just make sure you wear a cover up cossie underneath or the stares could be for more than the unusual swimwear choice

        Reminds me of my woolen swimming trunks in which I enjoyed seaside holidays on the east coast (of Norfolk) in the 1950's. Lovely when sitting on the sand after a dip in the sea. You youngsters don't know what you missed!

          I have seen photos David, my mum mamaged to escape the knitted swimwear, but one of her friends had to wear it!

            Being an early war baby the only swimwear you could get was home made, i.e. knitted. and you were jolly lucky to get it too. Well thats what we were told. lol.
