  • Proper 80's flick!

Who remembers Perfect wi John Travolta & Jamie Lee Curtis, the reporter writing a piece in a typical 80's keep fit club?

Just catching some of it on Five Life and its so funny looking back at it now, leg warmers wrapped round their ankles and the best bit was a load of Boy George lookalikes hanging round a hotel pool screaming for Culture Club...

...eeeh, brings back some memories! I was a Gary Numan girl myself

Im glad its back again, makes me feel younger - though older as im saying "I remember that the first time round"

Gary Numan - liked him too! Ok im going to have CARS stuck in my head all day now! Havent got a lp recorder anymore so cant reminise. Think i might have to down load.

Im going to the Hear and Now concert at the NEC in May. An 80's band concert. We're seeing Bananarama, Rick Astley, Cutting Crew, Paul Young, ABC, Curiosity Killed the Cat and Johhny Hate Jazz. Cant wait, Been to one before and it was brill. Really recommended!

I loved Cars.Im such an 80's chick, making loads of compilation tapes with Tears for fears and Alison Moyet etc.
Im watching Ashes to ashes, I like it but I dont feel they are making enough of the fact that its set in 1981, just a hint of music and bad clothes.
Although I have found a new love for Ultavox's Vienna song.I think it would be great if the fab Midge Ure would remix it for the noughties. The beat sounds really tinny, if he could give it a modern sounding beat it would be amazing with all those dramatic strings, it would give artists nowadays a run for their money.

Went to see Go West, Nick Kershaw and Curiosity Killed the Cat about 5 years ago. He could dance then, but i think he had one to many or was on something before he came on! He didnt seem right at all, quite funny really ! But thats show biz i suppose!

Go West was great, but the lead singer didnt have his sledge hammer though. God i thought he was lovely with that sledge hammer.. they were fab! I need a Go West moment now! lol
