I hope you have been enjoying yor days. I've spent a portion of my afternoon sitting in the sunshine in my garden doing some crochet. It's been everso pleasant and peaceful and relaxing. I spent the morning baking. My marble cake looks a disgrace as it sank in the middle, but at least my muffins turned out good. I also managed to tidy the house a bit, but the sunshine put me off my ironing. I'd rather be in the garden!

I sat in the garden for an hour with my feet in a bowl of cold water to cool me down! I looked a sight I'm sure. I have a Lhasa Apso dog who cannot cope with the heat either so we are both huffing and puffing on our walks ... again, we are a sight but at least it will keep the neighbours entertainedLorraine

Very hot today and have not sat out much unless under the trees, spent most of yesterday late afternoon in the MRI suite with my DH and oh boy was it hot in there, had to keep going out the door before I flaked out, why are hospitals so hot surely cannot be good for keeping germs at bay, luckily next to the water cooler so kept drinking then had to go to the ladies half a dozen times, lol.

I have just been up to the kenilworth show ground to put in the family's entries for the homecraft section. I made a terrible marble cake but really didn't fancy making a second that I have put the disgrace of a cake in. It is guaranteed to not win!View my flickr

It was cold and raining here today. I watched some of the dday commemorations and my aunt phoned me, she's 95 and remembers it well. I also baked a dozen scones which all vanished at record breaking speed!"If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely." Roald Dahl
