  • Forum question that's been nagging me for ages!

    Dear all,

Can someone please tell me the way in which the Rep Power and the little green squares work on our profiles? Are they directly related? I've seen some people with fewer posts etc who have more squares or a higher Rep power than other people who post a lot. I was just wondering how they both worked!!

    Very intriguing...

      Hi Si,

To get rep somebody has to give it to you. You are generally given rep because you have been particularly helpful for example.

      Hope that helps.

      Cheers.

So when I look at my Rep on the User CP, it says I have a total of 157 points... does that mean 157 people have thought I've said something useful or helpful?

And if that is the case, was I asleep when this happened?!?!!!!! lol

I shall rep away then. Didn't know that, just shows you should read the instructions before using (my husband favourite saying) oops!
Thanks for the info anyway, lot of people have been helpful to me so I shall start asap.

I think i'm probably being a little thick here...

Do you have to add a comment? and if not, does it just come up with "...agrees" box when you give some rep?

                I'm easily confused

I have read the thread that you link but still not really getting it.

                Sorry!

                  Hi Debeadz,

Nope you don't need to add a comment at all - the box will just come up blank in the user CP of the person you have reped and the will know you have given it to them (does that make sense?)

Comes up with a comment in the thread and you can see the last 5 comment in User CP ...

                    You can disagree too
