  • Forgetting that there is a 'real' world out there!!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets so ingrossed in this site, googling products etc and actually doing my crafty stuff that I forget that there is a 'real' world out there!!

Like today, I am now going to be late for work and I havn't done any washing up yet, but I've succesfully managed to post on here and start a new painting!

Life is hard when you're creative!

This is my favorite place at the moment. At least everyone on here is sane ? Having a bad day just discovered how difficult it is to deal with ageing parents.

I thought teenagers were bad but there not a patch on oldies....

So I'm having ten mins out before I return to my real world.

        Cheers Janice

I find this forum VERY addictive and just can't keep away! I'm constantly on the internet when I should be doing my day job, but then the internet is so much more interesting!

I always make sure my work is done though

J...... I know what you are talking about.I had my Mom with me for 15 yrs while raising 2 teenage sons alone. My Mom was as bad as both boys becouse I could tell them what to do and get away with it but my Mom argued with me about everything. When she would get in one of her moods and stay in bed all day and pouted I could pull my hair out. I loved her to death but there were many days I surely didn't like her.

              The Real World?

.....Where is this place? Which bus do I take, and is it worth the fare?

Anyway, rumour has it that the real world is a big bad place and it's cold & wet too.

So you're much better off in here.....where it's warm cosy and (relatively) safe.

                Yah, Boo.....Suckage!

I've just thought of a project I want to start, drew and cut out my paper pattern and was just going to select my fabric when a hollering came up the stairs

                "Hey! Your turn to cook!"

Hells bells and buckets of blood......I am being creatively stifled here, luvvies......

Unfortunately I'm jolted into the real world every morning when I have to walk Anya up to nursery. This morning it was peeing down and we got very wet but I refuse to take the car on what is a 10 minute walk! I sometimes take the car to pick her up at 11.30 but that's only if we are going out straight after/have been out that morning.
It's getting harder at the moment to remember that there is a real world because a lot of my time (until I get more into the swing of it) is taken up with Cuteable. Not complaining though as it's quite good to HAVE to sit and surf the web looking for cute stuff!

Oooh .. glad it's not me.

There are no windows in my workroom, so I completely lose all sense of time. I know it's lunchtime when my belly starts rumbling, and I know when it's time to go and pick Toby up from school when the alarm clock goes off!!

(sometimes if hubby takes him to school, I don't even get out of my pyjamas until I have to go out ... but shhh, don't tell anyone!)

Ha! JBJB I thought I was the only one! I had to be up and dressed this morning because I had a hairdressing appointment but usually I sit working in my PJs till dinnertime. I have worn out about three pairs of slippers over the last 6 months because that is all I ever wear..I call them my work shoes now!

As soon as I put Tara to bed (about half 6) I put my pj's on!!! I come downstairs and Anya always finds it funny that I have my pj's on before her! I would live in pajama's if I could! And often do at the weekend if we aren'r going out - but sssshhhhhh!

oooo i lurrrrrve my pj's, i definately get it from my mum, she works as a visiting chiropodist and when she goes home for her lunch break she puts her pj's on just for that hour!!
                          So i blame her obviously.
If i get home from work and havnt got anything planned i put them straight on.
MIL isnt that impressed usually when she comes round and i've got them on in the middle of the day/early evening i get the 'oh have you just had a bath/going to bed/had a nap questions but i just say
'No i'm just being a complete lazy slob and what's more i don't care'!!!!
                          Haha that shuts her up.

well you'd all be fine over here.

regularly see people out and about in slippers and dressing gowns!!

Sure some still have PJs on underneath too!! ( These are not just nutcases either)

I've been known to nip to the garage in my cow-print pyjama bottoms for a pint of milk. I also regularly take Toby to school with my pyjama top on under my coat. I dread the day they say "actually Emma, could you stay and help today?!" Also, I quite often wear a hat. Not because it's cold, but because my hair desperately needs washing!!

Do you think Stella McArtney designs in her pyjamas?
