  • Secret Santa - Christmas swap

Just got this idea from a fab 'mum' forum I’m on (its something they do every year). Anyway, it got me thinking maybe we could have a go on here? (If others are up for it that is?)

We would need to think about it a bit more, but basically people who fancied getting involved and being a 'Secret Santa' would put there names in, then they would find out who there gift was for and make a fab (crafty) gift for that person.

I'm sure you all know what I mean! Lol

We would need to give a rough cost for the gift and set a deadline posting date. Plus someone would obviously need to be the person to say who has who and give out the address of the lucky recipient. (Could this be done?)

    Anyway!! What do you think?

    Only 3 months/1 week/3 days till xmas!

Sounds good to me! I honestly don't have time to organise it though so I can't help on that front. When we did the swap on here (Beadsbydesign organised it so she should be able to give you pointers) we made sure that only people with a post level over a certain amount were allowed to join in.

I'll join in too if you want but can't help with the organising as I am up to my eyes in it just now - can hardly organise myself let alone a swap.

          Cheers.

                          Great idea.
I organised the last swap we had on here. I am happy to give pointers to anyone willing to do the organisation. I really think there needs to be certain qualifications for those taking part. minimum membership time (rather than number of posts, as that can be easily achieved) Our last swap still had a couple of glitches. It would be nice to have a couple of people on standby ready to send out a replacement gift if someone dissapears. I would also suggest that all post is sent recorded delivery as some of the parcels went astray. other than that I can dig up the wording etc that we used and the process for sorting out recipients but I cannot allocate the time to organise at this moment in time.
full time mum and very very part time crafter.
