  • Rocky Horror Show

......... ever since we were on holiday where the entertainment team did a rendition of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Conner has been asking what its about, told him as best I could but he still wanted to see it. We got the DVD and can I tell you he is hooked - I love the freaking thing that it is but he is listening to Sweet Transvestite and The Time Warp all the time. I have to say I endjoy listening to that better than the group "Rise Against" that he is into just now (I have to say they are absolute s*ite but he likes them!!!).

And here we go T,T,T, T Touch me is just playing as I type (I like that one Susan Sarandon was good in that!!!).

    Cheers.

I love Rocky too - never went to a production and dressed up or anything, but I've got the DVD.

It was only when I watched the DVD when I first bought it that I realised Brad is played by Barry Bostwick who plays the mayor in Spin City.

The look on peoples faces coming out of the clubs/pubs...they didnt know what was going on...of course lots of dressing up and rice and water and...........ok, so I like Rocky

Wait until you see Cabaret in London, then - there are some similarities.

I went to see Rocky Horror Show on stage with my brother when he was at Bristol University some 20 odd years ago. We were dressed in stockings and suspenders and given that we're both blokes and I'm 6'5" and my brother not much shorter we must have looked a right sight walking through the streets!! Still, at least it was only Bristol - Wouldn't have risked it in Brighton.....!!

I saw it in Birmingham for my 16th birthday (I'm 38 so that says how long ago that was!) At the time I was a goth and was totally up myself about being different etc..(ahhh the joys of youth) I was mortified when someone sat next to me in a black plastic bag and asked me what I had come as?.. MYSELF was my answer! I was just wearing my best going out clothes!!! Ha! Never thought I'd get to tell that story again!
                      It was brill though!

I bought it goodness knows how many years ago and lent it to someone, not seen it since.

I liked it, a bit odd tho, Brad and Janet are played by different actors and it has a very voyeristic feel.
Its quite ahead of its time as its set around a reality based TV show and follows Brad and Janets relationship.
FANTASTIC songs, they managed to include a great song about kitchen utensils, I prefer them to Rocky but maybe thats coz Ive heard Rocky so much.
