  • It's Worse Than Swine Flu

Yes it's official, my hubby has got Man Flu - I left him lying on the sofa croaking that he feels poorly this morning. Men with colds eh?

Are you sure it wouldn't have been better to get him to the hospital??

Come on now - we all know that men do not get colds!! its ALWAYS flu or something more serious and time to raid the medicine cupboard or stock up from the chemists is top of the list!

How come they manage to say in a really 'pity me' voice - 'can you get me a glass of water please'............. ROFL!!!

Its our nature to hate being ill. We are much better at being injured than ill as we can handle that emotionally but illness and men don't mix.

I'm feeling a little bit sorry for Mr Netty. I got something (the week before the pig flu hoo ha in the papers - so I'm assuming it wasn't piggyflu but the symptoms matched ) and I felt absolutely awful and thought my end was nigh as I couldn't breathe. Then my husband got it and he was so ill he really couldn't lift the remote - and that must be ill!
3 weeks later I still feel lousy, plagued with headaches, tiredness and still can't breathe.....................so there is something nasty doing the rounds.
I'm symphathetic.......................and pathetically full of self pity.............cos I didn't get any off my husband!!!!!!!!!

My husband battles into work rather than takes a day off for a cold or Man Flu more because it would be more trouble to then try and figure out what sort of chaos all his classes would be in when he goes back (and I reckon the school would want him to produce a list of work for the pupils to do in his absence anyway).
