  • Sad about Tony Hart :(

What sad news today to hear that Tony Hart had died I loved watching Hartbeat with Morph, and always wanted to be in the gallery.

It's like a part of your childhood disappears.

That's sad He had a stroke a few years ago didn't he and had to stop drawing which must have been hard for him.

As for childhood nostalgia, I remember him from 'Vision On'.... boy do I feel old!!!!!

I loved him when I was young, I still remember how much I enjoyed his work, he is responsible for many a modern day crafter how he installed into us the love of art!

I was sad to hear he had died, I sent several pics into the Gallery when I was a child. Loved Vision on and Take Hart. Total Legend as he brought art in a simplistic way to kids in the 70's and 80's and gotloads of us drawing.

Hubby and I were both really sad when we heard the sad news of Tony Harts death. He was an inspiration to us all growing up. RIP Tony.

It is sad, but when you're 83 and have suffered 2 strokes then I guess you've lived a good life prior to all that.

I was gutted when Morph went up in smoke in 2005 in a warehouse fire in Bristol.

I had a picture on the gallery when he was on vision on but unfortunatly I wasn't watching that day!

He was a true inspiration to many of us. I'm so glad he's died. It tormented him not to be able to draw and paint following his stroke. It would have been so hard for him. I hope he's drawing painting and glueing to his heart content now!

I just thank him for the enthusiasm he gave to many a young artist including me.

I never knew Morph had been destroyed in a fire! It's sad to think this generation will never see his work.

I was sad to hear of his death too, he was such a lovely guy, and his enthusiasm for art was infectious.
