Cant breathe properly, got about an hours sleep, throat is killing me and i have a very red nose. I hardly ever get ill and its just typicla I get ill on the big christmas fair.

I'm poorly too and have had to go to work! Worse still I had a doo to go to last night with my netball team and I just felt so rotten I called round the captains house after work to cancel. Walked in and burst into floods made worse when she said oh dear I've just taken a birthday cake and flowers up for you, that opened the floodgates again!!!! Anyway 12 hrs in bed and I do feel a bit better, just as well as its the works doo tonight!! Selina

Hope you're feeling better soon...at least you're ill now so you'll be well for Christmas. I find a coffee with a dose of ermmm 'medicinal elixir', ie Baileys, makes me feel a bit better. May not get rid of the lurgy but definitely makes me feel better!

Oh you poor thing - that sucks having to miss a fair. I can feel your frustration.

I have had a rotten cold the last few days and I am sitting in bed now just trying to muster up the energy to get up and pack my orders.

                Hope you feel better soon

oh selina, is there no way you can call in sicj to work to avoid spreading your germs to everyone else. Hope you feel better soon. From one coughing person on a sofa to another, xx

I wish I could! I'm a hairdresser and I own the salon, my business partner is on maternity leave and I have all my clients and all hers too! There'd be a mutiny if I didn't go in especially as I'm off to Florida on 28th so I have no gaps in my book till nearly February, which is fantastic bearing in mind the current state of things but not so good when you're poorly. I'm feeling really sorry for myself and its my birthday tomorrow too!! Hope you soon feel much better, ((hugs)) Selina

You have my sympathy 'cos I feel ill too! Had five days of antibiotics but still very "chesty" but did a fair today (ok not brilliant). My 12 year old is even more poorly. He hd some time off school went back this week and is now worse than ever. I picked him up from the rugby field Friday and he'd been standing on the sideline for three quarters of an hour feeling sick and was frozen to the bone. Ended up getting him checked at A&E yesterday and thankfully he should start picking up soon. Really cross with school tho'.
