Ow nice avatar Si - and are you wearing that make up just now!!!! Don't smudge it now!!!!

Was up to stupid hours last night carving our pumpkin. Really annoyed told the OH to do the scooping out and I'd do the carving. Idiot cut the lid too big!!! Man do I have to do everything. Got my daughter to make up the goodie bags for tonight and what a face she had on her doing that - guess who ended up doing it anyway!!!!

Anyhow all ready for the little terrors tonight!!

    Cheers.

        Happy halloween!

I daren't post a picture of my 'pumpkin' I left it to the last minute, Asda didn't have them, neither did Tesco, or Sainsburys, I even tried the Sainsburys in the next town. As a last resort, I came home with a swede

I always had a swede as a kid. Don't think pumpkins were a big deal back then.

                The Scariest Thing
                by Mairi Tereas Gallagher

Some things are scary Others are not,
Like ghosts and goblins, And things that rot
Cats and dogs are not scary At all,
All they do is play chase And catch a ball.
But the scariest thing Creeps around at night,
Looking for victims To scratch and bite.
It hides its face It's too ugly to see,
It rules all the monsters, Both tall and wee.
                Those who've seen his face,
                Their eyes burst and bleed,
They beg for mercy "Spare us, spare us," they plead.
But he's not a giver He takes what he finds,
All sorts of people Both sightseers and blind.
                You've got the picture,
That he is the king Of everything scary,
                Every little scary thing.
So watch out at night 'cause if By him you're seen,
He'll give you an evil grin And say...

                  I got everything ready-
set the man traps at the side of the path, incase the little horrors stray onto the garden.
Smeared the gate with dog poo
wired the front door knocker to the mains electric

and if they get through that lot, injected the TREATS with rat poison

Which means all the goodies left over need scoffing
