  • Skinny Water

Has anyone tried it? It's, and I quote "ingredients have been shown to suppress appetite, block carbohydrates from converting into fat and increase fat burning" As it was half price at Tescos I thought I'd buy a bottle to take into work, a good idea I thought seeing as I managed to scoff a whole packet of jaffa cakes here yesterday.

Problem is....it's absolutely foul Reminds me of the rehydration sachets you get when you've had a bad tummy, tastes like sweet, salty water yuk! Might have to have some sweets now just to take away the taste

I heard about this last night on the telly (it was on in the background so wasn't paying attention) - I must admit, my first thought was 'what a waste of money'. Regular water will suppress your appetite just as well by making you feel full

Glad I'm not the only one who can do that I've not heard of skinny water but I'm an advertisers worst nightmare - don't watch much telly, skip through ads in mags etc!

Must admit I only bought it cos it was half price and cheaper than the usual bottles of drink I buy. They could've at least make it taste nice though...

And Swirly, I'd never heard of it either but it came up in the special offers section when I was doing my online Tesco shop so thought I'd try it.....my advice - stick to the jaffa cakes

I have not heard of that, but I have seen alot about for the pink patch!!
It's like a nicotine patch and is supposed to stop you feeling hungry!!

I think they are all big cons and those that say they work are saying that because they work as a placibo, in the way you are actually dieting and watching what you eat , to be taking them anyway!!!

Maybe they made skinny water taste so foul that it makes the thought of eating make you feel sick? Sure fire way to lose weight!

A bit off topic but while I was at the dentist today my dentist said that there was nothing dentally wrong with eating a whole packet of biscuits in one go - in fact it was better for you to eat them all in one go rather than space them out over the day. So nothing dentally wrong with eating them all in one go - must remember that!

Skinny water?! That just sounds wrong. I thought normal water was better for you than most other drinks!

Quick update on the skinny water - if you tend to suffer from IBS don't drink the stuff. It might be coincedence but I've been quite poorly tonight, suspect the ingredient that blocks carbs from converting to fat might not agree with me

Ah, so it just binds your carbs and allows you to wee them out rather than absorb them?

Seriously, the best thing for weight loss is a healthy low fat diet and exercise. Unfortunately, there is no way around this.

Eating less and going for a walk in the evening will even be cheaper than skinny water!

                          Unless it is in tea!!

What Pebbles said struck a chord...quite a few years ago I had a go of Slimefast milkshake and felt so ill afterwards I didn't eat for a few days!! Mind you Adios worked for me, without me even realising it I was going through the day without getting the munchies and I lost a stone in a few weeks Funnily enough I quite like those rehydation drinks but I'm definitely not going to try this skinny water as my ibs is bad enough as it is ....sorry

You lot are putting me of, think I will just stick to a lettuce leaf, with Mayo, only joking. My tip is to keep busy if I am creating I cannot eat as it means I would mess up anything I am working on.
