  • My camera has broken!

Sorry not much point in this post but am so cross with myself!

I left my camera on the table earlier and next thing I know my toddler has pulled it off on the floor. Went to use it just now and the lens is completely broken - its all rattling inside Its about £100 to replace it - NOT what I needed at all. Suppose I only have myself to blame for leaving it in reach - I should know better!

Can you not claim off your house insurance, ours has a very good accidental damage cover? You may have an excess but it would be worth checking and may be cheaper than having to pay for all of it.

Am ashamed to say we dont have any. We live in rented and so have never bothered. I keep meaning to though since I have spilt a glass of wine over very expensive laptop, knocked a cup of tea down the back of the tv and now have broken camera in past couple of months argh!

Cheer up. Everything happens in threes and it sounds like you've just had your third disaster so the tables must be set to turn!

Oh no, that happened to me once. I had bought my first digital camera, took it over to my auntie's to show her and i didn't have it on a strap at the time and i handed it to her thinking she had it but she didn't.

It dropped on the floor from quite a hight - well say from my shoulder to the floor - i thought that was it won't be able to use it, but i was lucky even though it fell on the concrete floor it still worked & still does now although i have now upgraded.

So i know how you felt when it happened to yours

I hadn't thought of it like that - fingers crossed that was the last thing to go break then!

                Broken Camera

One of the joys of having children!

I too have learnt that you cannot leave anything lying around with a toddler. My daughter is 14 months and constantly grabbing things.

I would be completely lost without my camera.

I use it for my business and taking loads of pictures of my daughter.

I love photography so always snapping.

Cheer up - you can now invest in a better one??
                Take care
