  • aaahhgg stress!!!!

What a day!!!! I just need to rant so I apologise in advance. Last night some drunken idiot thought it would be a good idea to smash my front shop window for fun. Great, so for a bit of a laugh for him it just cost me £250, and I had to cancel my craft club and a class and spent all morning picking glass out of my craft stuff and I had to cancel an order from a supplier that I need so that I could pay the glazier. AAAAHHHHHGGGG. Why Me!

    A rather ticked off

    Much Sympathy

That is rotten luck. I hope something good happens to make up for it.

        Thats awful

        Are there any CCTV cameras?

I'd put a notice (polite) in the window about it or what about contacting the local paper or LEP? Could help with paying for the window?!

There is a camera just across the road but in never seems to point in the direction of the incident, or never has any film in it. The guy will probably get away with it because he was drunk, Ive had experience of this before.

My excess is £200 so its not worth it , I spke to my insurance company but it would have cost me more, plus it would have been a couple of days before they even sent anybody around to assess the damage and probably a couple moredays before they fixed it. I would also lose my no claims. Life sucks and you wonder why you even have insurance.

sorry about your window there are some real idiots about it just doesnt seem fair that you loose out when our car was broken into and vandelised we lost our no claims it seems so unfair that the victim of crime looses out we have no claims protection and an alarm now and nothings happened to our car since but still took a few years to build our no claims back up.hope something nice happens to you now .

I had my car window smashed in on Monday night. My boyfriend took it out and came back at half past 1 in the morning (an hour and a half late! - I was v.worried), he came in and said he had some bad news for me, I thought someone had died!

Cost £70 excess to get it fixed and I had to take an hour off work to get it fixed as they had no mobile people available till Friday.

It sucks, it really does, makes me feel a little bit unsafe too.
