  • If you were on Ready Steady Cook...

...what would you take in your food bag?

A question that has been on my mind for a fair while.

I'd take all the bits I have left in my cupboard when it's time to go shopping, would be lovely to know how to create something nice when it gets to that point, I usually end up with a trip to the chippy.

    So...
    tinned tomatoes
    tinned potatoes
    rice
    frozen veg
    pasta
    cheese
    nuts
See what you make of that Ainsley!

I would make a pasta bake with that lot nattynetty!! But then again, I'll make a pasta bake with anything, provided there's a cheese topping on it

I'd love to take a really random bag onto ready steady cook - the contestants always seem to take something that makes an easy meal - although the chefs always make loads more things too.

      I would take;

      pomegranate
      cucumber
      fillet steak
      polenta
      blackcurrants
      ham

I wonder what they would make with that

I knew Ferns husband was a chef, but I always thought it was the very tanned guy with the super-shiney slick black hair. I thought that they were an unlikely pairing. but Fern and her actual husband strike me as an even more unmatched couple!

I used to watch this when I was off on mat leave. I'd be the don't cook won't cook - I know wrong programme but I can't and won't!

Anyway, I think my bag would be:

                  Cheese (lots of)
                  Red onions
                  Peppers
                  Chocolate
                  Jelly
                  Salad Cream
                  and a can of coke

                  heheheheh!!

This is a doozy. I think Natty's ideas the best cos I always seem to end up with the same stuff in my cupboards too. How come there's always canned tomatoes?

I think i'd put some goats cheese in there, and maybe okra cos I always see it and wonder what to do with it. Anchovies (the white ones, not the brown!). Dunno what else. I'm going to go ponder this one now while searching through my cupboards....
