    Hmmm....

...Haven't had any spam through PM's, but I think I've had spam in my emails, I think they've got my address from the forum. I had maybe three in all this time. AOL, useless at so many things, is actually a bit hot on spam filtering, so I've not really been bothered by it.

A couple were chinese businesses, which I've seen Peter um.... deal with most effectively

Hi, I think I may have had a PM spammer. It was a man from India called fortunebeads, trying to sell me beads - waste of his time really, I don't do beads (yet!) I didn't realise I had to report it, so I just deleted the message and didn't bother to reply.

I haven't had any spam PM's either but thanks for letting us know so I can keep a look out.

If you want to put your email address on the web its best to replace @ with [at] and if that doesn't work also change the .co.uk to dot co dot uk or dot com for example. Most spams scan the web and they will not be able to read it as an email address.

Havent had any spam pm's either, but did get tons from my blog - i now use Kontactr, your visitor will fill in the form on the blog, webpage, whatever - and kontactr send it to your email addy. Very effective, and the spam has dropped off loads since using it!

Yes people do make the mistake of typing out their full email addresses on websites. A major mistake as that it how email addresses get added to a spammer's list. Instead of typing out your address on your own websites, use a secure contact form method.

Never ever put your email address on a forum, especially one as popular as this.

Haven't had a spam pm but I do get them on my email, they go straight in the spam bin so it doesn't really bother me, good advice about changing the @ to at etc though!
