As long as your settee doesn't have a nice purple moustache.

    Cheers.

We've had several lots of wallpaper like that...completely freehand designs, and in colours I hadn't previously thought of......royal blue biro is not my colour of choice, oddly.

Sam was a toerag for pens, and the older three were great at leaving a constant supply of them lying around. We decorated our livingroom three times in one year once!

It's got to the stage where I don't clean it anymore - it's lived in!! We had the cream leather sofa before we had kids but it's covered in felt pen, normal pen and spills from ribena etc - I do wipe it now and then but after spending an afternoon to clean it and the next day it was covered again I decided not to bother! The carpet is a mess too but we have decided that we are going to change it in about 10 years - until then it will have to be grubby!

            Bless!

My lad now six seems to have grown out of that stage. I did have a very large splash of bright yellow paint on my wall for a couple of years thoough, untill I finally got round to painting over it.
We spent most of weekend making xmas presents and the carpet now sparkles from all the glitter that has been ground in!!

                  Homemade Haircuts....

                  ...anyone's kids ever done that?

I can remember taking Pip to the hairdresser when she was about 3 or so. Her hair was long but very fine and tangled too easily for her comfort, so I decided a nice little bob cut was in order.

Philippa loved it. She spent hours posing in the mirror (still does....no change there 14 yrs later) swishing it from side to side. One day shortly after, she must have decided she wasn't all that happy with her new style and took a pair of scissors to the fringe.....right up to the roots. I was horrified. She had to climb the kitchen units to reach the scissors too, little monkey.

There wasn't much to be done with it, so we just had to let it grow out. I was worried she'd be laughed at, but she was cool. It was her first homemade haircut and she was proud of the job she'd done!

My daughter did that. She was 5 and in primary one and due to get her first school picture the next day. My sis in law was babysitting for us as the childminder couldn't watch the kids that day. Well Nicola has very very very long hair - she can sit on it now!!! but I had just had my hair done the day before well to cut a long story short Nicola wanted a fringe - and boy did she get one - cut the front of her hair off right up to the roots - I had some major cover up job to do for the school picture the next day I can tell you. More worried right enough that sissors had been left around for teeny to get a hold of.

                    Cheers.
