  • Feeling a Lot Worried.....

....Hospital have just phoned. They want Himself in for his op this coming Monday instead of the Monday after. He's got to dash off for pre-op checks & tests this afternoon......

......oh cripes! Really worried now! I know it's better to get it over and done with, but I'm really panicky now and it's not even happening to me. Himself has gone very pale.......

At least we've got a craft fair to take our minds off it tomorrow, at Stow on the Wold. And the weather's supposed to be sunny but nippy, which sounds good to me.

I've got the fidgets now.....I know that's silly and not very grown up, but I don't actually know what to do with myself. Lord help me on Monday......all that waiting about til he gets home.

        Right.....

....got a grip of myself a bit. I've not gone with Himself to the hospital. It's tests, he's a big boy. And there's lots to do here to get ready for tomorrow.

I've baked two tea loves, using my Nana's recipe - fat free too! And mega tasty. Got double choc-mint chip muffins to bake, and some pumpkin choc chip cookies to go in after that. I need to carve the pumpkin first to get the flesh for the cookies. Flesh for cookies...that sounds awful

House smells divine which will cheer Himself up when he gets in!

Sending you and Himself a big BIG hug Jules.

Think about it this way - you've got less time now to get worked up about it, I know if it was me I would've started worrying a week before the op so they've saved a few days of worry..like my logic?

Will be thinking about you both on Monday.

It has probably been a cancellation and they have managed to squeeze him in that bit earlier - at least it saves another week of worrying about it.

Thoughts are with you and let us know how the fair goes and how the op goes.

            Cheers.

Chin up Jules and well done for holding it together. Enjoy Stow, it's a lovely place. One of my best friends has a lovely little shop called Law & Company, it's worth a look if you've got 5 mins spare.

                          He's OK......phew!!!

Well, after much faffing about Himself went for his op at 3.45pm. He was booked in for 8.30am but I guess there was much surgery & patching up to after the Enduro (motorcycle) Beach Races this past weekend!

I don't suppose the suspense did Himself any good, but it's done now, all over. He's still in Recovery but I'm going to see him in an hour or so. I can't wait, desperately need to see him for myself.

Today has been SOOOOOO long...endless waiting. Tears have flowed freely for the past 20 minutes since the hospital phoned to reassure me, and I've told all the family. Can't say just how relieved I am now, I really didn't want to be without the person I've been in love with for 25 years.......silly really, I know it was just a gallstone. But these things do go through your mind.

Thans everyone for your lovely wishes..they did help tremendously.

Chuffin' Nora!!!!!! Why does it all happen when I've been away for the weekend!

Anyway, glad you survived the weekend and that himself's op is completed. Guess everything went well, 'cos you didn't say otherwise.

Big hugs to you both (minding the operation site of course!) and best wishes for a troublefree recovery. Make sure he doesn't rush things, or he could end up with a setback.

                            Linda
