  • My beetroot thoughts

I cant say Ive ever hated beetroot because I never really used to eat it.
But I bought a jar the other day, had some for lunch and rather liked it.

What are your thoughts on beetroot?

I prefer beetroot when it's cooked but not pickled, I also love it grated raw & made into a salad with a nice dressing.

      Two thoughts:

1 - I like beetroot, but rarely have it as no-one else does.

2 - You're really, really, really bored today, aren't you?

I don't like pickled beetroot - or anything else pickled for that matter but it is nice on salads.

Love it, in all its forms. It's great with orange sauce, or in beetroot and orange pickle.

Did you know that if you eat a lot of beetroot then your wee turns pink!!

I once had a very worried patient who thought she had cancer...... turns out she'd been eating beetroot!

Just a wee bit.......but we all must be bored as we're answering the question!

I'm not a beetroot fan - I remember being forced to eat it at school many moons ago.

But....we buy those ready made salad bags and the Bistro salad has grated beetroot in, and I like it. I've also bought raw beetroots as I want to try them baked in their skins. Himself loves beetroot, and it's virtually fat free which is handy!

I think Sainsburys do them to - my MIL had some the other day with parsnip and sweet potato crisps I think and they were delicious. The girls loved them too!
