I've just tried to open a screw-top bottle of wine with a corkscrew!!
.... and then continued to turn the corkscrew thinking it had got a duff loose cork in it

                      lol

I'm terrible at doing things like that, I think its because my mind is wandering elsewhere when I'm doing things! Like I'll put dirty clothes in the rubbish bin instead of the laundry bin

*blush* I nearly forgot to pick my son up from school last week (he only started the week before) I don't know what made me look up at the clock, but it was 1:15 and it was a case of "sh*t"!!! (They were introducing later finishing times to ease them in) I was supposed to be there at 1:15! Needless to say I was in my best (read tattiest) slobbing trousers all covered in thread! For the rest of the week I set an alarm on my mobile to remind me I had to do something .... !!

Now all parents will tell you that schools operate under sods law. on the days you are on time to pick the kids up, it will rain and be windy and the your kids will be the last out.
On the days you are late they will be the first ones out (even a few minutes early).
Don't worry we have all done it!!

LOL ! It doesn't compare however with what my mum did when I was 2 weeks old. I appreciate it was many years ago in a safer world. She didn't drive back then and had walked into town with me in the pram. This was in the days when you left prams outside shops. She went in the "In" entrance of the supermarket having left me outside in the pram, came out the "Out" exit, walked home, all the while thinking "I'm sure I've forgotten something" ...... yep, she'd left her 2 week old baby outside the supermarket

As I said, so along ago it might have been a different planet, but even so!
