  • Pets, what do you have?

    Hi all

New here but wanted to start this thread and apologies as it's probably been done before but, what pets do you have?

I currently have 2 Shih Tzus and 11 chickens. Have had loads of animals, lots of rescues from guinea pigs to rabbits to whatever needed rescuing.

My 2nd Shih Tzu was an ex breeding bitch, terrible story but what a difference now with food, love and attention

None at the moment. My last pet I had was my dog, who passed away aged 16 about a year ago.

I have two tabby cats - a tabby and white boy called Jazz, and a dark tabby called Daisy. I am a mega cat fan, but particularly love tabbies.

Also have a pond full of fish, which, thank goodness, the cats ignore! However, they are pretty keen on the frogs, dragonflies and damsel flies!

Sorry to hear that, it took me 5 years to get any more little furry friends, so glad I did though, although my other 2 are still sadly missed.

My chickens like frogs freshly plucked from the pond (urggghhh!) they chase each other round the garden when 1 of them has got a frog, all I see is the legs hanging out their beak, not nice!

I've got a Seal point Siamese cat named Tallulah( Talli for short)...I'm not really an animal person( as they need a lot of looking after), and my husband and his mother cooked up the idea for my daughter's birthday about three years ago( as he had two when he was younger). I REALLY didn't want any pets ( especially a Siamese as I thought they could be spiteful), and said that IF they bought one then she wouldn't be allowed upstairs or in any of the bedrooms....Well, now I am a complete sucker for that cat and love her to bits( I even let her snuggle under the duvet when it's cold in the Winter)...she doesn't 'make puddings' or dribble, and she's the friendliest cat I've ever known.I buy her the best food and spoil her rotten basically...She owns me!

Our two cats are only 3 years old and chase anything that move; our lovely car Barney (we had him before Jazz and Daisy) was really horrible where frogs were concerned! We tried to convince ourselves that he was a French cat with a liking for a particular delicacy!

They get under your skin don't they and the duvet lol! Our boiler packed up in winter down to -12, no hot water or heating and one of my girls leapt under the bed covers lol. They both sleep upstairs with us, would have this no other way

Er, don't fancy your chances Sue - does he have a birthday coming up that you could get him a 'surprise' present for - saying you were sure he said he wanted a Shih Tzu.

i have two crazy cats they are two males and totally in love with each other and everyone says they are the friendliest cats they have ever met, Archie is a choc point siamese and Dubh is a black cat with siamese features (not sure if he is) he had to get his tail amputated recently after an accident. they are well known in our neighbourhood, we live behind a hotel and they go into the kitchen to help themselves - once saw dubh coming out with a catering size pack of bacon!
