  • My Mouse?

I have a cordfree mouse, batteries are new, cleaned the eye etc., but it is still a bit iffy. Do they actually wear out? It doesn't always pick up the commands from the fingers, (I hope you understood that). It wasn't a cheap one either but I have had it a couple of years or so and it is used by two of us so takes quite a beating. Actually, typing this I think I have just talked myself into the answer. lol.

Try cleaning the eye with something like lighter fluid or meths Carol. I use a roller ball as in my last job I ws using a mouse all day and was getting RSI. I have to clean the inside every now and then as it picks up grease from my fingers so that could be what is happenning to yours from the mat. They get filthy somehow however clean you try and keep them.

My cordfree mouse died too a couple of weeks ago. Mine was a Logitech one and about the same age as yours.
Have you checked the thing that receives the signal (sorry I don't know what it's called), something might be in the way stopping the signal. I have a button on the base of my mouse which you press to connect it to the receiver.
I tried all this but it didn't work, I hope it works for you. I suppose they get worn out like anything else. I am hoping to get a new one tomorrow as I've been using a corded mouse again and it's a real pain.
