  • Princess Beatrices hat.

Does anyone have some spare cash to buy the hat that Princess Beatrice wore to William and Catherines wedding?

Oh my goodness! I personally think the hat is awful but how fantastic that all that money is going to charity.

I heard about this on the radio - good for her for not getting upset by all the (ahem) interest in her hat and turning it round to raise money for a good cause

Absolutely hideous though isn't it ?

I had to ask myself, would I like the hat if it was a less hideous colour, and the answer was no. Then I wondered if I'd like it more if it was a less hideous colour and without the wiggly bits.....maybe.

Maybe I should bid for it then I can cut it up and dye it

          Good for her.

I am proud not to be a follower of fashion if sticking hats in the middle of your forehead is the latest trend..

It's not much of a hat. Isn't a hat supposed to cover the wearer's head?

The bidding is getting a bit fierce now.

The Wiggles apparently put in a bid for it at £17500.... looks like they were outbid.

Agree, totally hideous hat, with an otherwise nice outfit, and I wondered why Philip Treacy hates Bea so much to design that for her but then I wondered if it was the cleverest ploy ever because the entire world focussed on her and now she is able to turn that attention, give a huge sum to charity and be doubly remembered for ever!
No one is likely to forget that hat, the designer or what it eventually sold for!

                  Clever or mistake made good?

£50 + grand and counting all going to one charity! Surely they could share the bad hat joy between several? And considering how much dissing the hat's gotten who actually wants it enough to bid that kind of money?
