  • one man's amazing journey

Well I found this chap via his stunning craft photography but as I read more he is slowly becoming a bit of a hero. This is an impressive journey he did in 2009 cycling round the coast of England Wales and Scotland, about 5000 miles carrying camping gear and all.

    The route

And this is why he is doing it, I found it quite moving.

The soundslides he made along the way of interesting folk are fantastic.

You can't help but admire the man both for the reason and the actual journeys. The crafting side is a bonus. I wish him well and thanks for posting Robin.

Thanks for pointing this out robin-wood. I've just watched the stained glass soundslide and its really interesting and inspirational for me as a 'leaded light' artist. This guy is amazing to really go to the roots of traditional crafts along the way of cycling around the UK, no wonder he is becoming a hero!

Can I come to please, we could bicker our way round the country as well as biking it LOL. Only if you wear 60" bell bottoms and a peasant blouse though.

Absolutely Pete, when would you like to start? Peasant blouse no problem have one of those. Problem with bell bottoms though is they get caught up in the bicycle chain and covered in grease if you can indeed get them free in the first place and bicycle clips just don't go with my image of an ageing chick from the swinging 60's LOL

Not met yet Helen, you can introduce us if you like LOL. We are 'friends' on facebook from Misi, so yes Pete knows what I look like, nasty surprise that was for him, and Pete loves posting pictures of himself from the past and present all over the place LOL

Doesn't matter how far apart we are we will still bicker and argue and be rude to each other !!!

Think we should all bring a picnic and have it after closing time for tea as we finish at 4pm. Would be a nice little CF social.
