They are so taking the p**s..................I supported the firemen with gusto, but this shower of dyslexic, number blind, pot smoking, numpties can all get sacked and go and join the army for me! It's not as if they are anything like the 'respected' postie of the past...............bags thrown away, letters opened, parcels damaged, notes pushed through the letterbox without knocking - will someone please catch on and give us a proper, privatised, postal service! No, I don't really like 'royal' mail..........can you tell?

It's so bad..even the ladies at my post office are struggling with what the situation is everyday!
I posted two orders at the end of last month on the 30th and 31st both first class registered post..neither have been delivered yet..but I have since posted about 8 other items that have also gone 1st class registered post and they have been delivered. Whats that all about..not bothering with the back log just deliver whats on top??

Perhaps all us Crafters should band together and start our own private Crafts Postal Service! We could 'relay' the items around the country between each other!

Well said, well said. We are in dispute with Royal Mail just now. A neighbour who stays streets away but whose number is also 3 has been getting our mail for about a year now. They would wait a couple of days then pop it through our door - we obviously would think it was the post getting delivered normally and didn't know it was them putting the mail through the door. They chaped our door one night and told us the situation. Got straight onto the Royal Mail and told them they advised that as this was the first complaint they would let the branch know but if it happened again they would take it further.

Well f**k me did it not get 10 times worse, last week we got mail for number 21, 25 and ours (which is 3)!!!! Straight onto them again and I got a nice letter in the post saying this was unacceptable and they were looking into it (wont hold my breath though) - what they are going to do I don't know, sack the whole sorting office (I should be so bloody lucky!!!).

Sorry of on a tangent, but you would have more sympathy for the stricking postal workers if they actually did their jobs right!!!.

                  Cheers

I know what you mean - we have had parcels left in a wet sandpit - the books were ruined, parcels left outside our back gate on wet mossy bricks - luckily the CD's were ok and countless numbers of stuff left on both the back and front door step! Loosing sympathy I must say!

Husabnd went to local sorting office yesterday to pick up what he thought was one thing (card had been put through the door). the bloke said, oh there is a box for you...
Ok so its a box to pick up
                      No
It was a BOX FULL OF STUFF that had not been put through the door
Some of which we have been waiting for over a week........

So, go to your local sorting office and 'see' if there is anything waiting for you.....

Well, it seems they're going back - http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/c...trike%20Latest
What I can't understand, and correct me if I've got this wrong, is that, if you go on strike for a week, and nobody is delivering the mail, doesn't that give you a weeks work to catch up on...............after you've had a week off unpaid? I said they were numpties!

Good! Hopefully I might get my package that I was hoping would be here by now. And of course when you have a birthday coming up it's nice to think you might actually receive some cards! Meh!

A week off unpaid, followed by a week with paid overtime to catch up.

I'd do it that way - have a break, and then get paid to catch up the work that you didn't do.
It's never too late to gyrate!
