  • Great movie!

We just watched Chocolat - it was so good! Really enjoyed it!

I've never seen it but we have it on V+ from when it was on at Christmas - I plan to watch it when I finally have time to sit down and enjoy it.

It's one of my favourite films too. Have you read the book? It's even better.

Yes, that's a lovely film. I saw it years ago and have now got it on DVD. If you liked that film, you'd probably also like Amelie. It's in French with subtitles but is so gripping you forget you're reading them! It's a really quirky little movie.

Is that the one about J M Barrie, the author of Peter Pan? That wasn't bad.

Yes...maybe it was Searching for Neverland or something...it was a little depressing...but I love movies that have that "other dimension'' going on...magical stuff.

I've read the book, that was really good - problem is I know that most books are better than the films and if I've read the book first then I can find the films a bit of a disappointment!

My Mum gave me the book quite a few years ago and I loved it, the film I enjoyed but it was not nearly as good as the book.
I always seem to prefer the book to the film. I think a good author can open your imagination to the thoughts of the characters, which makes the story more real somehow. With a film you tend to just watch a story, but sometimes that is just wha you need a simple easy entertaining watch
