  • Quiet today!

It's very quiet today - is everyone busy? I've been busy working on ideas for a whole range of stuff but it is very much at the planning stage at the moment!
What has everyone else been doing?

    Busy doing nothing!

Don't know why, but I haven't stopped all day since I got up at 7am, but I seem to have got nothing whatsoever done .... no idea where the day has gone. Maybe it's due to the full bottle of wine I drank last night whilst hubby was out with his mates lol.

Was my first day back at work today after holiday and as I predicted it would be it was totally manic, my desk was so smothered you couldn't see any wood beneath all the paperwork!! Not a single thing had been done whilst I was away!!! Mind you, I knew it would be like that, and the day did go very very quickly, but meant I had no time to get a sneaky peak in here!!!! Now that's not on!!!

              I've Been Away....sort of..

...I was doing proper work Saturday, yesterday and again tomorrow, covering a friend's fancy dress shop.

Getting fed up with it tbh, they leave such a mess and expect me to tidy it, and see to all the customers etc....and I don't get paid for this, so they're pushing it a wee bit...

              Last day tomorrow! Yippeeeeee!!!!

Jules - surely they should give you something for all your help even if it's not a proper wage, it's the least they could do.

I've been working today so couldn't get on here (although i sneaked a quick peek). TBH i haven't felt like posting much recently due to personal problems (MEN - need i say more!). I have been around reading the posts though. I'm hoping things will be sorted on the weekend then i'll have a lot more time on my hands. I'll even be joining the very dedicated members on here on a saturday night - you know who you are

ROFLMAO ..... I was one of them last Saturday, but won't be around this weekend as we're away doing a craft fair (that's if the field isn't under water this time .... third time lucky for these big events maybe?)

BTW Jules, I agree with Emma, you should get something for your trouble. It's not fair of them to expect you to do all of that work for nothing.

Well, I've spend the whole day (left at 6:50am and got home at 6:35pm) at a 'Team Away Day' in Manchester so feel completly unenergised and shattered.......

I shan't be on here on Saturday night as at Man Utd's football ground watching The Ladyboys From Bangkok (I had a few attempts at spelling that last word!)
Not sure what to expect - I blame one of my cousins for organising it.....

I've been down to Swindon and back (about 2hrs south) to get the last of my stock from the craft unit I had there. The girl I shared with is moving out and she had some of my bits and pieces still. Long day but got enough stock for next monthes craft fair now!

Yeah! I'm sure you could use some fancy dress hire.... what's you favourite?

...I actually don't like fancy dress..the nearest I got was the 1940's Hanger Dance a few weeks back.

But..they sell lots of accessories etc, and I'd love some Hallowe'en stuff for my garden. Last year I got some plastc headstones that made creepy noises...sounds tacky but they looked good stuck under a small tree surrounded by candles and my pumpkins......I'm into Extreme pumpkin carving...so I'd quite like some more Hallowe'en stuff, especially as I know just how cheap this stuff is to them.

                          These are last years.....

Wow - you made those?? They are great - my one and only attempt at carving a pumpkin ended up with wonky eyes and a lopsided mouth!

Sugar and Spice - the Ladyboys of Bangkok is meant to be very good - it was on at the Lowry last year but we didn't go - we went to see the Fimbles instead!!
