  • How NOT to win potential customers

A new garage has just opened on our street and the guy is obviously not too fussed on building local relationships and getting any business around here....

I've just had the police knock on my door - he called them to complain my car was parked half on the double yellow lines...parking here is horrendous and the last people were fine about me parking there - miserable git.

Oh and apparently one of my neighbours was taking a peek through the gate t'other day to see what the new business was and the guy told them to f*** off - the said neighbour I have no doubt will tell the whole village before the week is out!

My car needs a service soon....guess where I won't be taking it!

          Parking on the Street...

.....a year or two ago there was a mechanic living by us. He brought all the cars he was fixing home. We even saw him taking his g/f out in some one else's posh sports coupe once.

All the cars were parked on the road, on a corner which is blind. One winter's evening a car came round the bend and had to swerve into the other lane to avoid hitting a parked car just as another car was coming around the blind bend.

The only casualty was Our Fred, our lovely cat, who dashed across the road to get home as the squeal of brakes & tyres had startled him.

We didn't feel lucky losing Fred, but it could have been the drivers and passengers in both of the cars. The police looked into the mechanic and stopped him from parking all the cars outside his house. A little while later the guy disappeared (abandoning two cats, a dog & puppies) as the police had discovered much more than illegal parking...

I hope your guy disappears too. With manners like his, he won't do well!

Maybe you should book in your fleet of cars for services one after the other
You know under your name of 'Mickey Mouse' or something less obvious.
Then he can use the spare time he has (when the cars don't turn up) to reflect on his lack of personality....

When hubby got home and parked in the space I vacated I went out and said loudly 'you'll have to move babe cos some ars*y bloke got the police to move me earlier' not sure if he heard me but it made me feel better

It always astounds me how many people don't have good customer service. I'll always let people know when they have done a good job or I'm pleased with the service I've had but on the flip side I will always let people know if they have done a bad job - and all of my friends of course
I don't think your guy will get much business Natty. Oh well
