There's no such creature as a mock turtle - it is Lewis Carroll's way of mocking the fact that you can get mock turtle soup, which, of course, has no turtle in it.

Been to the Sea Life Centre today and saw a soft shelled turtle, really weird, I think I prefer the hard shelled type!
